For the past few years, the Acadian Peninsula District Planning Commission (CAPA), concerned about informing the community, publishes from the time to time, informations concerning building permits, in newspapers, but rarely did get a chance to make public our duties wich extend beyond << building permits and inspections >>. It is with this mind that I invite you to visit our Website.
Through our Website, we are able to present you a wide range of information and, we hope, in a much more interesting way. For example, a person will be able to consult at his leisure, the municipal/zoning plans and the regulations for the Acadian Peninsula. In that way, we give an opportunity to the population to get interested not only in by-laws regarding their properties but also in the planning of the whole area.
As we have often mentioned, the various steps of planning and development are still relatively unknown to the public. It is made up of mecanisms of consultations which are essential to the making of different necessary tools (such as zoning, subdivision and building by-laws). Being convinced of the necessity of having the population play an active role in the regional planning, we are providing a new to the community.
Finally, I wish to thank the << Collectivité ingénieuse de la Péninsule acadienne >> (CIPA) who contributed, by their technical support, to the development of this project.
Best regards and have a good visit.
